What Clutter Does To Your Mind and What To Do About It!

What is really clutter all about when it's starting to affect the way we make decisions? Because clutter can affect your attention. Clutter can deplete your energy, impact your mood? Yes, impact your mood? and clutter has these subtle ways to really start affecting us in certain ways that we really don't want to have that much bearing, but they do. I want to say a quote on what clutter looks like and how it affects us from Eleanor Brown and she says, "clutter is not just physical stuff. It's old ideas, toxic relationships, and bad habits. clutter is anything that does not support your better self." So I wanted, to share with you about, what we have to learn on how to unpack the clutter, and release and surrender some activities that we need to let go of, and then there's some that you need to keep. So we really need to take a look at that. And organizing the good stuff. Deciding what needs to take priority in your life, right, incorporating them back into your life wisely. What do you think that means? Because clutter is really not just about material things, it's just that the material things are more obvious because we see them everyday in our homes. Peter Wall says, "clutter robs us of life. It robs us socially, when we're too embarrassed to have people over. It robs us spiritually, because we can't be at peace in a cluttered home. And it robs us psychologically by stealing our ability to feel motivated in our space." What do you think of that? So what kind of emotional spiritual clutter are you stuffing into your spiritual closet? Or stuffed in your drawer? Is it fear? Is it anxiety, worry, guilt, maybe shame. These things start taking over your thought life squeezing out the joy, the peace and contentful spirit that God wants you to experience. So once we have identified right, your messiest spiritual closets, it should be time for action towards improving your spiritual and emotional health. You must drag out all the stuff and lay it all out. And you got to kind of ask yourself some real grown up questions. Like, what activity or practices feeds your spiritual and emotional growth, what distracts you and keeps you away from hearing his voice? So, as in any decluttering process, you can start today with the small stuff and celebrate your small wins along the way. And you will start to see a tremendous uplift in your emotional and spiritual life.
